Tarhi Eco Camp is a tented camp in true “ old style “ on a Kenya Wildlife Service special campsite direct on the seasonal Voi River. The Camp is situated only 13 km from the Voi Main park entrance on the way to Aruba Dam and consists of

  • 12 Double tents
  • 06 Family tents
  • 01 Honeymooner tent

Every tent has its own flush toilet, shower and lavabo with flowing water. 1 Public toilet is situated close to the dining tent. The camp is situated in middle of the real “ bush vegetation “ of Tsavo East.

 


All tents, the 2 dining areas, 2 campfires and our “ Chui “ (Leopard) bar are naturally surrounded by Boskia trees and other wild growing vegetation.

All tents and all bathrooms are provided with power from our 2 camp generators (220 volts). All tents and all bathrooms are providet with solar power for the night hours, when the generators are off. Photo- or videocameras can be charged by the 2 dining places.

Generator running times 5:00 – 7:00 AM / 1:00 PM – 4 PM / 6:00 PM until the last guest goes to the tent.
(extra charges for use of generator running out of official times is Ksh 300 per hour)

 

Dining

Our kitchen staff prepare Local & international food on carcoal or gas fires.
Lunch is served in the open air under the Boskia trees and with an excellent view of the waterhole (where animals gather to drink). Dinner will be served in the big dining tent.
