Wild Frontiers Serengeti Camp

Wild Frontiers Serengeti Camp

The new Wild Frontiers Serengeti camp is situated 26 km (45 mins) east of the central area of Seronera, overlooking the Ngare Nanyuki River. It is perfectly situated for game viewing in the central Serengeti, as well as the less visited regions further east and south. It is also close to the main airstrip for flights in and out.

Being the furthest camp to the east, it has the benefit of relative isolation, allowing you to enjoy a true wilderness experience.

Facilities

The camp has been designed with quality, modern equipment, and to create as least visual impact as possible.

The eight tents are spacious and include two wooden beds with duvets, ensuite bathroom area with hot water bucket shower, toilet and shady veranda. Lighting is by solar charged 12 volt lamps, and paraffin lamps, plus limited battery recharging facilities will be available (for videos and cameras).

Camp staff will look after your every need, and will be in attendance virtually around the clock!

A large dining tent, as well as a comfortable lounge area and bar, with a small reference library, and a typical safari campfire make up the balance of the facilities. Unlike most lodges, your guide will normally join you for meals etc, and be available for you at all hours.

The camp will run in as eco-friendly way as possible, with all waste etc being disposed of under Park's guidelines, solar electrical system and gas refrigeration. The location of the camp is fixed but semi - permanent eg no permanent structures allowed, and may be moved in the future to follow the game movements.

Wild Frontiers intends to provide a friendly, intimate tented camp, with good facilities in an amazing area, with due respect for this fragile ecosystem.

The camp can be used as part of a full Tanzania itinerary, and will be used on our Authentic Grade camping safaris, as well as for purely Serengeti trips.

Wild Frontiers plans to introduce it's own open-vehicles for game drives in the future, for fly-in Serengeti only packages.

Rates on application. Opening date 24 JUNE 2006. Images of the camp will follow towards the end of June.
